Welcome. A veteran player of the 40K hobby from the Games Workshop. Not satisfied with standard "straight out of the box/blister" models; I like to "Konvert" to put my own interpretation or vision of how I want my figures to look. Often to project the "fluff" or for WYSIWIG. Some model ranges have a very limited variation or expression .... I like to introduce a change (Sisters of Battle). Some have an unlimited scope for variation (Orks).

Next! and against the clock.

Today, I was tidying up and digging out my SoB force ready for Army selection (1750 points), when I came across the WH backlog ...... "damn their eyes man!"

So I selected a few pieces, including some that I may put into the Tournament list. Stuck them together and this is what I ended up with:
Primarily it is the Vindicare Assassin, but you can never have too many Heavy Flamers or special weapons. Also there were a couple of objective markers I had put together but not done anything with yet, and a couple or Arco Flagellents (to boost my available squad).
The Immolator (Mark 1 versions, because I use the old rhino chassis) Gunners are there to boost if I am to field more BPD (burny promethium death!) in the choice of force.

I also found a Priest figure (a Necromunda Redemptionist) with an Eviscerator that will slot nicely into the Repentia squad and allow me to field the Arcos.

I think I am starting to get a feel for the way this tourney army is going ..... ? more close combat capable than a normal SoB??
I wonder if i can get the 2 Penitent Engines put together and painted, in time?

So; all primed and ready to go.
I'll get back to the Orks shortly.......Honest!

About Me

My photo
A modeller, gamer, painter; in order of preference (and more like skill as well). I usually have a huge backlog of figures and projects to get done. More often than not, I will have something waiting around for years, until "The Muse" takes hold and obsession takes over. This is then usually completed; ocassional projects do stall and are left at the basecoat and metal drybrushed stage (until I can get the drive for the detail painting). Armies i currently run are WH40K only: Orks (lots & lots & lots) Blood Angels (lots & lots) Witch Hunters (lots of Sisters of Battle) Iron Fists Space Marines (developing at approx 2000pts).
